We believe
parents and whanau play an important role as the primary caregivers and
educators of their children. An open, effective relationship between
parents and staff therefore contributes to each child’s positive
learning. Staff are happy to discuss your child's progress, interests
and concerns. The parents notice board located in the locker area also
keeps parents informed of events and activities. Parent support is also
occasionally asked for, such as when external trips are planned.
Parents are also invited to open days, and preschool productions.
Parent contribution is sometimes asked for, such as when day or half-day
trips are scheduled, and additional adult supervision would be of
assistance.

At Christmas time
Bright
Bears
has organized a Christmas float to take part in the Christmas Parade
through Whangaparaoa and Stanmore Bay. Parents have helped to
decorate the float and have organized their child’s costume. This
support from our parents continues to be a great contribution to our
success.
All of our letters from past and present parents can be read by visitors
to Bright Bears.
